Ascension Eagles

Since 1996, Ascension Eagles have been working to raise aspirations and encourage community participation in London’s East End. The London Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games (LOCOG) have recognised that Ascension Eagles are among Britain’s finest, and will entrust our charity with the honour of training, organising and delivering performances at Olympic events.

To enable our East End youth to participate in this opportunity of a lifetime, dedicated staff must be hired to oversee this work in the months leading up to the Olympics and throughout the Olympic period. This Olympic performance commitment will actively involve up to 200 young people, performing in shifts but covering 16 hours per day, over 16 days for a worldwide audience of millions.
