Creatively linking sports & arts across the 8 schools of the E13 Learning Community, culminating in opening & closing ceremonies for a pupils' mini-Olympics sports day (including Paralympics) in June 2012, itself run by the schools' young sports leaders. Saturday workshops, 75 children aged 9-12 will develop a range of cultural performance skills to contribute to the ceremonies, including steel drums, gymnastics, circus skills, dance, & costume/props making.Sports elements of the day will be develop- ed through E13 LC's existing programme of Ultimate Sports & Football leagues. The mini-Olympics day will include local sports & arts community organizations by providing opportunities for them to showcase their activities to the children.
